Football super agent Mino Raiola has passed away at the age of 54 after a short illness.
Raiola represented a host of leading footballers including Erling Haaland and Paul Pogba. The agent required hospital treatment in Milan earlier this year, although the nature of his illness was never publicly confirmed.
Forbes estimated that Raiola's worth stood at £62million last year, with claims that he banked £20m from Pogba's return to Manchester United in 2016. The agent's career in football began in the early 1990s while working for Dutch company Sports Promotions.
Raiola began to operate on his own after negotiating Czech Republic superstar Pavel Nedved's move from Sparta Prague to Lazio in 1996. The Italian would go on to play role in brokering a number of high-profile Premier League transfers including Mario Balotelli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
