Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has suggested that he would welcome the signing of Aurelien Tchouameni by showering the Monaco playmaker in high praise while on international duty. The Red Devils have been credited with an interest in bringing Tchouameni to Old Trafford in recent weeks, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly keen on adding to his midfield ranks in the near future.
The 21-year-old has established himself as one of Ligue 1’s finest young prospects since joining Monaco from Bordeaux in January of last year.
He made 42 appearances in all competitions last season and has started every match of his side’s new campaign to date.
Tchouameni was rewarded for his efforts with a debut France call-up last month and went on to play in each of Les Bleus’ three fixtures over the course of the international break.
He was strongly linked with a move to the Premier League during the summer transfer window, with United said to have been keeping a close eye on his progress.
Pogba has since added further fuel to the fire by hailing Tchouameni’s formidable attributes and declaring that he is looking forward to playing alongside the Monaco man at international level once again.

When asked for his verdict on Tchouameni’s recent showings for Les Bleus, the Red Devils midfielder told RTL: “Very, very good. He’s not a boy, he’s a man.
“It’s a pleasure to play next to him. He brings a lot of energy. A lot of energy, extraordinary technical and physical quality.
“We wish him to play a lot more games and that I am always by his side.”
It was suggested during the latter stages of the transfer window that United had reached out to Tchouameni’s representatives with the intention of bringing him to Manchester.
The Red Devils have been crying out for a top-class defensive midfield option for some time but ultimately decided against strengthening in this area.
The late signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus quashed any hopes of such a move, but the idea could well be revisited when January rolls around.
Tchouameni has also been linked with the likes of Chelsea, Juventus and Liverpool in recent months, suggesting that United could face a battle to secure his signature.
Meanwhile, Pogba appears to be facing an uncertain future of his own, with talks over a new deal at United said to be ongoing.

The 28-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season and has been tipped to join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer, with the French giants understood to be keen on a move for his services.
However, United boss Solskjaer recently declared that Pogba is more than happy at Old Trafford, with the 48-year-old insisting that he is relaxed about the midfielder’s current situation.
“It’s been spoken and written about so often, but every discussion I have had with Paul is a positive one,” Solskjaer told reporters last month.
“He knows what we want and hopefully it stays in the background and Paul and us will make a decision together.
“It will always be like this with Paul. He’s a media magnet!”
