Harry Kane scooped the Premier League Golden Boot this season after fending off competition from Mohamed Salah and Bruno Fernandes – but what does the scoring chart look like with penalties taken away?
Kane picked up the Golden Boot for the third time in his career in 2020/21, with his tally of 23 goals for Tottenham giving him the slimmest of edges over Salah, who bagged 22 for Liverpool.
Manchester United ace Fernandes was the third highest scorer with 18 goals, coming before Leeds striker Patrick Bamford and Spurs forward Son Heung-min on 17.
And when taking penalties out of the equation, Kane remains the leading scorer in the 2020/21 Premier League campaign.
The England captain turned home four successful penalties this term, meaning his 'true' tally for the season was 19.
Salah also keeps his place in second, albeit tied with two players on 16 goals.
The Liverpool winger converted six penalties overall, while Son only tucked away one spot-kick over the course of the season.
Everton frontman Dominic Calvert-Lewin is down in sixth on the official Golden Boot chart, but having scored no penalties for Carlo Ancelotti's side he jumps up into joint-second with Salah and Son on 16 goals.
Bamford then comes next on 15 after scoring one penalty for Leeds, coming on the final day of the season against West Brom, as did Ollie Watkins, who comes next on 13.
Manchester City's Ilkay Gundogan (one penalty) and Leicester's Kelechi Iheanacho are next on 12 goals, before Tottenham's Gareth Bale, Liverpool's Sadio Mane and United's Marcus Rashford complete the list on 11.
Fernandes suffers most when penalties are taking out of the equation, with his tally of nine 'true' goals dropping him outside the top 10.
Jamie Vardy, Danny Ings and Alexandre Lacazette also fell outside the top 10 when penalties were removed.
