Real Madrid’s transitional period could lead to a mass exodus with Carlo Ancelotti placing plenty of star names on the chopping block in the Spanish captial. The club are in need of money to allow Ancelotti to bring in his own signings, with one man in particular being lined up.

Real Madrid are said to have transfer listed virtually their entire squad as they look to free up transfer funds.

Carlo Ancelotti is desperate to create money to bring in his own players, meaning the majority of the Galacticos could be available.

The likes of Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard and Toni Kroos are all still on Real’s books, and no doubt raking in huge wages.

But they could all depart before the end of the summer if the right offer comes in.

That is according to Spanish outlet Marca, who insist that Ancelotti is willing to part with all but five first team players.

New arrival David Alaba won’t be sold due to the fact that he has only just joined the club and signed a five-year deal.

Meanwhile, Karim Benzema is set to stay on, despite his contract expiring in 12 months time, perhaps due to his impervious form last season.

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is also understood to be out of the firing line as Ancelotti’s nailed-on no. 1.

And young stars Federico Valverde and Vinicius Jr. have been spared, with Ancelotti keen to keep them on his side.

That means that Arsenal could well land Martin Odegaard before the summer is out, with the Norwegian said to be available for the right price.

It is understood that as well as helping the club’s financial situation, the reason for selling the bulk of their star players is to free up a transfer kitty to go after PSG’s Kylian Mbappe.

The France striker is believed to be keen on a move to the Bernabeu when he calls time on his spell in Paris.

And Ancelotti is happy to work with Florentino Perez to have a clearout in order to inject some cash into the club and make a serious play to sign Mbappe.
