Ronaldinho shows off sublime skills as Brazil great turns back clock for charity

Brazilian icon Ronaldinho rolled back the years with a sublime piece of trickery in a charity football game.

The Selecao sensation, 42, teamed up with ex-international team-mate Roberto Carlos for 'The Beautiful Game,' charity contest and wowed fans with his silky skills and ice-cool finishing. Played at DRV PNK Stadium, home of David Beckham's MLS franchise Inter Miami, team Ronaldinho were eventually defeated in a 22-goal thriller but that didn't stop the 2005 Ballon d'Or winner from turning back the clock.

Teaming up with the likes of Paul Pogba, Paulo Dybala and Vinicius Jr, Ronaldinho opened the scoring inside the opening seven minutes – slotting the ball into the far right corner after some neat build-up play inside the area.

Putting on a dominant display in the middle of the park, Ronaldinho ran the show with some insane close control and peerless first-time passing, with the pick of the punch coming midway through the second period.

Given too much space in the opposition half, the Brazilian dinked the ball over the head of compatriot Cafu in the heart of the 'R3' backline, laying it on a plate for Dybala. Keen to provide a finish that equalled the pass, the Juventus ace tried an in-air backheeled finish but mistimed the effort.
