Wrexham's new kit has sparked a mixed reaction from fans after Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's unveiling video.

The National League side unveiled their new shirt for the upcoming season on Tuesday with a video that sees their co-owners discuss the new jersey. Last season's white sleeves have been removed, with the new all-red kit including dragon detailing on the sleeves and back in reference to the club's Welsh heritage.

In the club's announcement video, Reynolds and McElhenney hilariously argue over the colour of the kit, with the former opening with: “Here’s Wrexham’s new home kit. I love the red.”

McElhenney replies: “It’s the same red as before," before Reynolds ignorantly continues: “So much brighter and crisp, the crest looks great on it.”

The Always Sunny star then adds: “Not arguing with that but to clarify, same red.” Reynolds continues, though, asking: “The sponsors really pop. What’s the Pantone reference on this red?”

McElhenney does praise the use of dragons on the sleeves as he comments: “Same as the old one, I imagine. Those dragons look good.”

Their red debate keeps going though, with Reynolds adding: “Mmm in the red. I am all about this new red.” His fellow chairman then quips: “Listen man, you really need to get your eyes checked and your ears.”

Reynolds then labels the shirt the "Red One" as he concludes his argument: “Stop it Rob. You know what, to celebrate this new red, let’s call this shirt the Red One.”

Accepting defeat, McElhenney finishes: “If that’ll make this stop, fine. Introducing Wrexham's new home shirt, the Red One.”

The club's fans are not completely sold by the design, though, with one commenting: “Front good. Sleeves bad.” Another added: “Fine, not particularly exciting though. Prefer last year’s by far.”

A third supporter simply wrote: “Pretty dull imo.” Another also commented as they admitted: “Underwhelming to say the least. Dragon print is nice but tacky badge.”

But others loved it. One said: "Almost perfect. Another added: "Looks quality."

Wrexham begin the new National League season at home to Eastleigh on August 6 as they look to put last season's play-off final defeat behind them.
