Silvas wife challenges Chelsea over lack of photos of him at Stamford Bridge

Thiago Silva's wife Belle has fumed at Chelsea at the lack of photos of her husband around Stamford Bridge this season.

Chelsea often pop up new banners at the start of the season that greet fans as they make their way to the ground's entrance. However, one absentee among them includes that of Silva.

The Brazilian's wife was keen to let the club know that she could not see her husband anywhere – except on the pitch. Belle is a common guest at Stamford Bridge, while this is the first Premier League match of the season at the west London ground.

She said: "Today I went to Stamford Bridge and I noticed that the photos changed around the stadium. But I don't see a photo of @tsilva3 anywhere. Why @ChelseaFC?"

Whether Chelsea will reply or make changes adhering to Belle's complaints remains to be seen but it would not be a surprise to see Silva banners propping up across the ground. The defender has been a revelation since signing for the Blues in 2020.

Set to turn 38 next month, the Brazil international remains the bedrock of Chelsea's defence and one of the first names on the team sheet for Thomas Tuchel. His commanding presence at the back and remarkable fitness levels have surprised all in the Premier League.
