Sky Sports News provided a cringeworthy blunder while following the transfer of Sadio Mane from Liverpool to Bayern Munich by trying to get an interview with the wrong man entirely.
The 30-year-old forward pushed for a new challenge away from Liverpool following six seasons at the club during a time in which he won the Premier League and Champions League as well as both domestic cups.
Despite that success which led to his £35.1million move to the Bundesliga juggernauts, he might not be as recognisable in Germany as fans may have assumed, as showcased by an encounter with a reporter and member of the public on Wednesday (June 22).

While live on Sky Sports News, their reporter in Germany says: "He's in the car Sadio Mane! Can you hear me? Maybe we can try and get a line with him."
To which the UK based presenter says: "Yes, of course we can! We will stay with you, if Sadio Mane is there, you speak to him!"
The field reporter then says: "We go to Sadio Mane and ask if he wants to speak to Sky UK or something. I couldn't see him yesterday because the whole time he was in the car."

When the back door of the car opened and a man in a blue jeans and black shirt, that clearly wasn't Mane, exited the Sky Sports duo took more time than expected to realise their error.
With one presenter saying: "There he is…" And the second adding: "Oh no hang on a minute!"
The man in Munich even tried to call the name of the forward, who was not present.
Following that painful blunder, one Twitter user said in response: "Awwwkwaaard."
With another adding: "Oh my god this is just amazing."
A third continued with three laughing emojis: "Nah I can't."
With a fourth laughing: "Noooooooooo."
