Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hailed Anthony Martial for his “mind-blowing” goal – but said he wants more from the Manchester United striker.
Martial took his goal tally for the season to 15 with an outrageous finish as United won to move up to fifth, three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
United forward Martial made it three goals in as many games, but Solskjaer said he is the Frenchman's biggest critic and said he expects more from him.
“I'm delighted with the week Anthony's had,” said Solskjaer. “He's got his critics and I'm one of the biggest.
“But he's come up with a No.9’s goal against Chelsea, he did everything to get the goal against Bruges and today is more than Anthony we know about.
“The skill for that goal was just mind-blowing, but I want more from him.”
Solskjaer also hailed the impact of new £47million signing Bruno Fernandes, who scored his first goal for the club and set up the other two in a man-of-the-match display.
“In today’s market I think we got a good deal,” said Solskjaer. “Bruno has come in, done really well and given everyone a boost.
“It means more than just getting a player in, and the fans here are used to players with that personality, mentality and quality.
“He's felt like a presence in the group from the first minute. Some players take some time in warming up, but he felt confident right away.”
