Raheem Sterling has penned a heartfelt message to Manchester City fans ahead of his blockbuster move to Premier League rivals Chelsea.
The England international has flown out to the US to join up with his new team-mates after finalising his £45million move to Stamford Bridge earlier this week.
Taking to social media on Wednesday afternoon, Sterling said the seven years he spent at the Etihad Stadium have provided him with a "lifetime of memories", adding that it had been "an honour" to wear the City shirt.

"Seven seasons. Eleven major trophies. A lifetime of memories," the 27-year-old began.
"To the coaching staff who have played a massive role in my development over the years, to my team-mates who have become more than just those I share a pitch with, to the backroom staff, to the office staff, to the fans who have tirelessly supported the team, and to everyone involved with Manchester City, my respect for you couldn't be greater.
"What a ride it's been. I am thankful for the ups and the downs, as it's the downs that have, at times, tested my strength and resolve, and enabled me to stand here in front of you as the best possible version of myself."

Sterling joined City from Liverpool in a £49 million deal back in 2015, making him the most England's most expensive player at the time. He went on to net a whopping 131 goals in 339 games for the club and quickly established himself as a central cog in what has undoubtedly been the most successful era in the club's history.
The winger helped guide City to 11 major honours including four Premier League titles, but has now decided to look for a new challenge.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has been an admirer of Sterling's for some time and was desperate to bring him to the club once he heard a move was on the cards.
Sterling will is set to become Chelsea's highest-paid player with reports he'll be making over £300k-a-week.
