Tottenham’s January transfer frustration finally appears to have come to an end in light of a double announcement on Monday afternoon. Manager Antonio Conte will have at least two new faces to work with between now and the end of the season, with Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur both rubber-stamping their arrivals from Juventus.
It had been a frustrating month for the north London side, who were forced to watch on as prime target Adama Traore secured a move to Barcelona.
Spurs even struggled to move peripheral players on as tension built towards a crucial deadline day.
But as several incomings and outgoings built momentum behind the scenes, things appear to have reached a crescendo in the nick of time.
With a cluster of players set to make way, Juventus confirmed the departures of Kulusevski and Bentancur on social media, with the pair bound for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The duo could end up setting Spurs back a whopping £60million if targets are met.
According to The Times, the deal for Bentancur involves an initial £16m, with the potential for an extra £4m in add-ons.
Kulusevski, meanwhile, joins on an initial 18-month, £8.3m loan deal, which will then become permanent based on certain conditions for a further £29m.
Bentancur is a 24-year-old Uruguayan who has already racked up 46 international caps. Aston Villa saw a sizable bid for him rejected this month.
Boca Juniors, where the midfielder played until 2017, are set to receive 30 per cent of the fee which takes Bentancur to north London.
Kulusevski made a strong impression with Atalanta and Parma as a youngster, but broadly failed to live up to expectations in Turin.
Conte and sporting director Fabio Paratici are both believed to be big fans of the player, however, and the latter played a prominent role in his transfer to the Bianconeri back in 2020.
Tottenham’s squad appears to be taking shape with a number of departures also edging towards completion on deadline day.
Everton have reportedly agreed to sign Dele Alli in a deal which could reach £10m if the midfielder makes 20 appearances for the club, and a much larger fee if other targets are met.
Tanguy Ndombele has also completed his hotly-anticipated exit from north London, heading to Lyon on loan with an option to buy at the end of the campaign.
Completing the trio of exit-bound midfielders is Giovani Lo Celso, who was also on Lyon’s radar, but now appears to be on the verge of a switch to Villarreal.
