West Ham United beat Chelsea on Saturday with a 'freakish' goal that left goalkeeper Edouard Mendy 'in the mud' according to fans.
Arthur Masuaku stole all three points for the hosts with a swerving cross that beat Mendy at his near post and complete a thrilling comeback victory.
Chelsea had twice taken the lead through Thiago Silva and Mason Mount during the first half, before Jarrod Bowen levelled the match in the 56th minute.
Mendy was also at fault for the Hammers' first goal after he fouled Bowen inside of the penalty area having delayed clearing the ball after a weak back pass.
Having beaten the West Ham winger to Jorginho's pass, Mendy chose to take a pass before booting the ball forward before bringing down Bowen.
The Chelsea keeper has now been criticised by supporters on social media for his errors during the match, with several fans also feeling he should have saved Masuaku's effort.
One fan tweeted: “Mendy at fault for the first, defence for the second and god knows for the third, just a fluke.”
Another added: “I’m blaming Jorginho and Mendy for today’s loss.”

Meanwhile, rival fans mocked Mendy as one wrote: “Hahahahaha Mendy in the MUD!!!”
One Arsenal fan compared Mendy to Aaron Ramsdale as they tweeted: “Imagine Ramsdale made the mistakes that Mendy made today. He’d be getting absolutely ripped to pieces.”
The defeat to West Ham was the first time this season that the Blues have conceded more than one goal in a league match.
Prior to Saturday's match, Mendy had only picked the ball out of his net six times in 13 matches in the Premier League this season.
As a result of the loss, Chelsea can be knocked off the top of the table for the first time since the start of October by either Liverpool or Manchester City.
West Ham have extended their lead over fifth place Arsenal to five points and will remain in the top four for the rest of the weekend.
