She makes news on the horse, and makes millions off it – but the 'world's sexiest jockey' once combined the two as she found frenzied levels of fame.
Canadian model and TV star Chantal Sutherland has rode significant horses such as Mine That Bird, Inglorious and Game On Dude, winning the Sovereign Award for Outstanding Apprentice Jockey in 2001 and 2002. Back in 2012, the now 46-year-old became the first woman jockey to win the Hollywood Gold Cup and five years later, reached 1,000 wins.
She's still going strong now. Indeed, only last month, she took on Frankie Dettori in the £16.74 million Saudi Cup race, where Yoshito Yahagi was ridden to victory by Yutaka Yoshida.

But having made more than £40 million in her career on the American race circuit, Sutherland's reputation expands way beyond the race track. In 2008, she found a place in the People magazine's '100 most beautiful people in the world' feature.
It was 2012 though, still in the prime of her racing days, when the eyes of the world were suddenly on the star. She posed naked on a horse for Vanity Fair, in a series of photos organised by American Hollywood actress Bo Derek.
She soon became one of the most recognisable female sports stars on the planet. Media demands went into overdrive, and she was handed a big role in the HBO series Luck, which starred Dustin Hoffman.

And fans can see her regularly don attractive outfits on social media, with her Twitter following exceeding 27,000 people.
Back to the race track though, and she was involved in yet another high-profile moment as she battled her ex-fiancé Mike E. Smith on the racetrack in 2011.
Having got engaged, they split up permanently in 2010, only to go head to head at the Queen's Plate in Woodbine in 2010 later that same year. Billed as the 'battle of the sexes', the former lovers were the only competitors in the race.
Smith ended up the winner and he took home the £19,000 purse, admitting afterwards: "It was a sigh of relief." Sunderland however, was defiant, saying: "I think I won the popularity contest."
